The capacity of the venue is 500 but can be divided into two rooms of 300 and 200.

Pop Til You Drop At Mint Lounge - Official Press Release
POP TIL YOU DROP - every Friday at The Mint Lounge, Oldham Street, Northern Quarter, Manchester.
Pop Til You Drop launches itself into 2012 with a trip across Manchester to its new weekly Friday residency at The Mint Lounge, right in the heart of the Northern Quarter.
A year into its existence, PTYD DJ’s continue to provide a plethora of music spanning decades of quality pop from hip hop to indie, disco to rock, r n b to acid house, steering well clear of the cheesier side of the charts.
Digging deep into their libraries, resident DJ’s from the camps of Crazy P and El Diablo’s Social Club (the original founders of the night), alongside other local heroes and don’t knows, hope to take you down a musical memory lane and have you firmly routed to the dancefloor!
There'll be a jukebox request and dedication hour, "projected reflections corner" of TOTP hits gone by and live performances of pop classics from stars of the future plus irregular themed nights!
Keeping us fuelled throughout the night Mint Lounge’s extensive drinks menu, with specialist cocktail bar, international beers, drinks offers and of course corporation pop, there'll be no need to go thirsty!
Pop Til You Drop opens its doors on February 3rd and we cordially invite you to join the party!
Friday 10th February will be the first of our themed nights where we’ll be hosting a special Valentines night so don your heart on your sleeve and come shake the hole!

Mr B The Gentleman Rhymer at Itchy Feet Valentines Party!
Itchy Feet's Valentines Party will be welcoming a very special guest in the form of Mr B!
On a one-man mission to introduce Hip-Hop to the Queen's English, Mr. B is delighted to present Chap-Hop.
Having spent the best part of a decade bringing some manners back to popular culture, this dopest of fellows will entertain and amuse you with his ingenious stylings.
Aiming to dazzle with dignity, Mr. B takes to the stage with his Banjolele and stiff upper lip to perform ditties of pipe-smoking, high society, Cricket and sexual misadventure, as well as some more well-known pieces from the world of Hip-Hop, re-worked in true Chap-Hop fashion.
Mr.B has fast gained a reputation as an eloquent and entertaining live performer, playing recitals across the UK and into Johnny Continent for the past two years from the Glastonbury Festival to club NME in Paris, from the club in Surrey to the Edinburgh fringe.
His recent video 'Chap-Hop history' received over 100,000 hits in its first week on youtube. He has just guested on banjolele and vocals on US nerdcore rapper MC Frontalot's album 'Zero Day'.
His debut long player 'Flattery Not Included' is available via www.gentlemanrhymer.com now and his second, 'I Say!' will be available in December, once launched at the Chap magazine's second Grand Anarcho Dandyist Ball.

Funkademia New Years Eve
This year Funkademia are spending NYE 2011 into 2012 at their Manchester home, Mint Lounge, right in the heart of Manchester’s Northern Quarter on Oldham Street.
Funkademia NYE events have sold out every year, so we advise that you get your ticket as early as possible.
We are pleased to say that tickets are selling fast this year so it looks like it will be another smasher.
The £5 early bird tickets have all gone, but we have kept the price as low as possiblewith £10 tickets on sale now.

Funkademia - 16 Years Under A Groove
With Graeme Hawley & Disco Mums
On the 12th November Funkademia will celebrate its 16th birthday with a party at Mint Lounge, Manchester featuring Graeme Hawley & Disco Mums on the decks.
They're not normally renowned for getting on guest dj’s at Funkademia but they thought they’d push the boat out to celebrate becoming the longest running weekly night in Mancunian clubland this year.
Graeme Hawley is best known for playing John Stape in Coronation Street, but what a lot of people don’t know is that he also a fantastic DJ. He’s played for Funkademia over the summer at Wickerman Festival, Ramsbottom Festival and also took control of our Baby Funk room.
His love of all things funky is sure to light up this birthday party! Supporting him in the main room will be one of our favourite resident DJ’s, Les Croasdaile.
In the Baby Funk room we welcome Disco Mums who make their Funkademia debut. They are an all female Manchester based DJ collective who play a vinyl only set of sly gems, treasured classics and bombs from the disco.
As a special treat the first 100 ticket buyers will receive a limited edition CD of our resident DJ’s favourite tracks. The other 500 or so will get a limited edition button badge.
Funkademia have come a long way from the very first night back in the 1995 at the Boardwalk and with the continued support of 18,000 members they intend to keep on keeping on for a while longer yet.

The Clique remixes are taking the internet by storm. The Clique Soundcloud has had over 110k downloads, making it the equivalent of 'gold' in BPI terms.
The lads have just completed a remix of Lana Del Rey's video games which has been tearing up the blogosphere!
Currently working on various other exciting tracks, including some original material you can expect some great sounds from the Clique studio in the foreseeable future.
